WatchESPN Activated for AT&T Subs

WatchESPN is now available to AT&T U-verse subscribers, giving the telco’s customers access to the sports programmer’s fare on multiple platforms.

The launch of the streaming platform places ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and broadband service ESPN3 live online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, and through ESPN on Xbox LIVE to Gold members. The debut comes ahead of the start of the Major League Baseball on Sunday March 31 and golf’s first major, The Masters, next month.

Additionally, customers can watch highlights services ESPN Goal Line and ESPN Buzzer Beater through WatchESPN when those channels are in season.

The rollout is part of the comprehensive carriage pact ESPN parent The Walt Disney Co. reached with AT&T U-verse in January.

Also under that contract, U-verse customers will see Disney Junior added to their linear TV lineup on March 29.

Additional authenticated products, including Watch Disney Channel, Watch Disney XD and Watch Disney Junior, will become available to AT&T U-verse TV subscribers on devices inside and outside the home, at some point down the road.
