Video-encoding equipment vendor Envivio announced the appointment of Ira Goldfarb, formerly a longtime sales executives at SeaChange International, as senior vice president of global sales and service.
In August 2012, SeaChange announced Goldfarb was leaving the company to “pursue other interests.” Goldfarb joined SeaChange in August 1994 as vice president of its central region, ascending to the rank of executive vice president of worldwide sales and services in October 2010. Before joining SeaChange, he held several sales management positions at Digital Equipment Corp. from September 1983 to July 1994.
"Ira has successfully grown the global sales organization and served as a key member of the executive team at an innovative company that is a leader in the industry,” Envivio president and CEO Julien Signes said in a statement. “He possesses extensive knowledge of both our customer base and technologies,". "His talent and experience are great assets and we are excited to have him on board at Envivio."
In December, Envivio -- which slashed revenue expectations twice since its initial public offering in 2012 -- announced the departure of chief operating officer Kevin O'Keefe and the appointment of David Baranski, a former Terayon Communications and IneoQuest Technologies executive, as vice president of sales for the Americas region.
Also last month, rival RGB Networks announced that it recruited Scott Pranger, previously head of channel partnerships at Envivio, as vice president of global channels.
