Brown Sugar Sparks App for Kindle Fire Tablets

Bounce-owned SVOD service launched in November 2016 6/16/2017 7:02 AM Eastern

Brown Sugar, the Bounce-owned SVOD service featuring popular African-American-themed movies from the 1970s and 1980s, has launched an app for Amazon Kindle Fire tablets.

Brown Sugar, launched last November, also supports the Google Chromecast streaming adapter and has launched apps for Android and iOS smartphones and tablets.

Kindle Fire users are in line for a seven-day free trial of Brown Sugar, which sells for $3.99 per month.

Brown Sugar features a library that includes The Mack, Super Fly, Jackie Brown, Dolemite, Chicago, Cotton Comes to Harlem, Eve’s Bayou, Foxy Brown, Cooley High, Don’t Be a Menace to South Central, Pride, A Soldier’s Story, Black Caesar, Richard Pryor: Live on the Sunset Strip, Car Wash,  Gone Baby Gone, and The Original Gangstas, among others.
