Cablevision To Launch FUNimation Channel

Cablevision Systems will offer the anime-themed FUNimation channel as part of its subscription video on demand lineup, the MSO announced Friday.

The 40 million subscriber Olympusat service will retail at a suggested price of $6.95 per month and will feature anime titles from Japan dubbed into English, according to Olympusat officials.

“Many of our customers are loyal fans of anime programming, and we are pleased to add new FUNimation Channel to our premium On Demand offering,” said Bradley Feldman, Cablevision’s vice president of video product management in a statement.  “This is a wonderful addition to the high-quality, diverse programming we offer customers.”
