In Demand to Tip NBA League Pass Freeview

With an assist from In Demand, the National Basketball Association is tipping off its out-of-market package next week with an eight-day free preview on digital cable.

Package distributor In Demand is working with cable systems around the country on the free preview of NBA League Pass from Oct. 30 through Nov. 6. In addition to the television package, which presents up to 40 live out of market game across 10 channels weekly, subscribers are not only given access to all the games on NBA.com, but once again mobile device authentication is included in the package price.

The price for the 2012-13 package, extending through the April 17 end of the regular season, including the digital and mobile options, is $179, or four installments of $44.75 apiece. With the purchase of NBA League Pass on digital cable, subscribers also gain access to NBA League Pass Broadband and NBA League Pass Mobile on an authenticated basis.

Among the distributors offering the package distributed by In Demand this year: Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cablevision, Cox Communications, Bright House Networks and Verizon FiOS, plus a number of independent affiliates around the country.

In addition to the broadband and mobile service, the lineup for NBA League Pass includes same-day game encores, dual feeds, HD contests and mosaic and stats channels.
