Synergy Research Group said the overall IPTV equipment market grew 30.3% year over year in the second quarter of 2008. The fastest-growing IPTV market segment was core routers, which grew 37.9% year over year.

Verizon's FiOS TV and FiOS Internet services are available in parts of the Southern California communities of Covina, West Covina and Sepulveda.

Verizon will offer Disney's “The Cheetah Girls One World” starting Tuesday, Aug. 19, through FiOS TV video-on-demand, three days before the movie’s Disney Channel premiere.
