Dish Strikes Deal with Wyoming Stations

Four months after first going dark to Dish Network customers in Wyoming, a trio of stations hammered out a retransmission consent deal earlier this week to return to the satellite TV provider.
The stations - KTWO (ABC), KFNB (Fox), and KGWC (CBS) - located in Cheyenne and Casper, Wyoming and owned by Wyomedia Corp., Silverton Broadcasting and Mark III Media, reached a retransmission consent deal with the satellite giant on May 1. The stations first went dark on Dec. 31.
"Dish Network is pleased to announce these new agreements," said vice president of programming Andrew LeCuyer in a statement. "We are most pleased on behalf of Dish customers in Wyoming who will continue to receive the best channel choices at the lowest everyday prices in the industry."
Terms of the multi-year deal were not disclosed.
"We are just ecstatic, so happy to be back on Dish and sorry for the role we played in the interruption of service, said Mark III Media secretary and treasurer Mark Nalbone in a statement. "I believe both sides realized that they were better off together than they were apart."
