ESPN 3D Tips Off NBA Action With Heat-Knicks At MSG

ESPN 3D will present its first NBA contest when LeBron James brings his talents to Madison Square Garden in December.
The sports programmer's will televise the Dec. 17 match-up between the New York Knicks and their new power forward Amare Stoudemire against the revamped Miami Heat, featuring free agents James and Chris Bosh, plus all-star Dwayne Wade, at 7 p.m. (ET). The Knicks were among the clubs spurned by James's "decision" in July.
This is the first of eight regular-season NBA games slates  for the service, which recently has been airing college football action in the advanced format. Additionally, ESPN 3D will air six NBA playoff contests, including a trio of Western Conference Finals games.
