Golf Channel Tees Off

The Golf Channel (TGC) has gained exclusive, worldwide television rights to
the inaugural UBS Warburg Cup, a Ryder Cup-style competition featuring older
golfers from the United States against from the rest of the world.

TGC will air 25-and-a-half hours of coverage on Nov. 16 through 18 from The
Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Resorts in South Carolina.

Links icon Arnold Palmer will captain the U.S. contingent, which will also
include Jack Nicklaus, Hale Irwin and Curtis Strange. South African sensation
Gary Player will lead the international squad.

The 12-man teams will feature six players in their 40s and six players over
50.

Golf will deliver three hours of live coverage daily, and then offer a
2-and-a-half versions later those nights. An encore edition will run the
following week.
