Annual CTAM Digital Confab Begins

The state of Time Warner Cable's new service rollouts, and an encounter
session between industry minds and financial mavens, will help the Cable &
Telecommunications Association for Marketing open its annual digital conference
Wednesday in New Orleans.

A quartet of executives from the AOL Time Warner unit, led by executive vice
president/chief marketing officer Charles Ellis, will update attendees on
video-on-demand, high-definition TV and personal video recorder service activity
in an afternoon session. Some focus may fall on Mystro TV, the advanced Time
Warner Cable service venture combining on-demand, PVR and interactivity
features.

Following that session, representatives from Salomon Smith Barney Inc. and
Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. will debate the economic impact of digital and
other new product deployments with executives from Comcast Cable Communications
Inc. and Turner Broadcasting Inc.

CTAM announced Wednesday morning that 1,120 people
pre-registered for the conference; last year's edition drew 1,263
attendees.

Other anticipated highlights include keynote remarks Thursday morning from
Viacom Inc. CFO Richard Bressler, a digital programming report card from
executives at TVN Entertainment, Starz Encore Group and Universal TV Networks,
and a special inside look at the American Film Institute's ongoing enhanced TV
workshop.

Several interactive/enhanced TV ventures, including Buzztime Trivia Channel
and ICTV, will join on-demand service and technology companies exhibiting in the
conference's new media lab area.

Lab presentations will take place throughout
the conference.

CTAM's digital conference runs through Friday afternoon.
