Rainbow, MGM Ink Cable, VOD Deal

Rainbow Media Holdings Inc. announced a licensing deal with
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. Wednesday for distribution of more than 450 of the
studio’s feature films.

The movies -- including such classics as Annie Hall, Birdcage,
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Fargo, Raging Bull, The Silence
of the Lambs
, the Rocky series, The Terminator and Thelma
and Louise
-- will air on Rainbow-owned AMC, The Independent Film Channel
and WE: Women's Entertainment.

The deal -- which begins in 2004 and continues through 2020 -- also includes
subscription-video-on-demand rights.

"The MGM agreement is of significant scope for Rainbow and unprecedented
breadth for the three networks -- AMC, IFC and WE," recently named Rainbow
president of entertainment services Kathleen Dore said in a prepared
