TNT Sets NBA Voices

8/19/2003 10:13 AM Eastern

Turner Network Television revealed its announcing teams Tuesday for the
upcoming National Basketball Association season.

Rookie analyst Steve Kerr, recently retired from the world champion San
Antonio Spurs, will join the veteran team of Marv Albert and Mike Fratello, with
sideline reporter Craig Sager.

Former Washington Wizards head coach Doug Collins -- who returns to TNT after
beginning his broadcasting career with Turner Sports (1989-94) -- will be teamed
up with play-by-play announcer Kevin Harlan and sideline reporter Cheryl
Miller.

Analyst and former Georgetown University head coach John Thompson will work
several games during the season and a full playoff schedule, while also
contributing bimonthly, in-depth, personality-oriented features with some of the
top names in sports and entertainment.

When broadcasting games, Thompson will be paired with Albert, Harlan or Dick
Stockton.

Stockton, the Basketball Hall of Fame play-by-play voice, returns to work
several regular-season games and a full slate of playoff games for the
network.

Finally, TNT's Emmy Award-winning studio team of Ernie Johnson, Charles
Barkley, Kenny Smith and Magic Johnson will return, as well.
