B&N Sets 24/7 E-Commerce Channel9/19/2001 7:18 AM Eastern
Barnes & Noble.com, in
association with DirecTV Inc. and Wink Communications Inc., announced the launch
Wednesday of 'the first 24/7 dedicated e-commerce application available to U.S.
consumers through their television.'
The interactive Barnes & Noble.com channel on DirecTV enables consumers
to buy the top-100 best-selling books at any time by using their TV remote
controls, the companies said.
The B&N channel joins three other dedicated interactive channels
available to DirecTV subscribers who have Wink-enabled receivers: The Weather
Channel's Instant Weather, ESPN Today and the DirecTV Interactive
