Warden Kept the Cable at the County Jail

12/12/2002 1:29 AM Eastern

The Kalkaska County, Mich., board of commissioners voted 4-3 to allow inmates
at the county jail to keep their cable television, AP reported.

"If your goal is to have prisoners that are calm, they shouldn't have any TV
at all," said board chairman Mike Cox, who voted against giving the inmates
cable.

AP reported that that eight televisions in the jail are wired for
cable.
