AT&T Exec Resigns to Head ADC

1/29/2001 6:50 AM Eastern

Richard R. Roscitt, former president of AT&T Business Services and a man
once thought to be in line to replace AT&T Corp. chief C. Michael Armstrong,
will take the helm of ADC Telecommunications Inc. as chairman and CEO Feb.
15.

Roscitt, 49, will succeed William J. Cadogan, who announced retirement plans
in May. Cadogan will advise ADC with the transition through the end of the year,
ADC said.

Additionally, ADC said, it has named Lynn Davis president and chief operating
officer, a newly created position. Davis, 53, currently serves as president of
ADC's Broadband Connectivity Group.

Roscitt's telecommunications pedigree 'will provide ADC with the right mix of
vision, leadership and performance to reach its goals,' Cadogan said in a press
release.
