Musician/actor Little Steven and Cablevision Systems Corp. subsidiary The Wiz
are partnering on the sale of a compilation CD with proceeds earmarked to help
victims of the Sept. 11 attack on the World Trade Center.

The Best of Little Steven's Cavestomp! Garage Rock Band Search: Vol. 1 is
now being sold exclusively at the 43 Wiz electronics stores serving the tristate
area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, according to a press release
issued by the retailer.

The CD, carrying a suggested retail of $8.98, showcases 20 bands selected
from the 'Cavestomp! Garage Rock Band Search' contest, which attracted 655
entries.

Launched in July, the program was inspired by the 'Cavestomp! Concert
Series,' co-produced by Little Steven's Renegade Nation Productions and
sponsored by The Wiz.

Proceeds from the sale of the CD will be donated to the Robin Hood Relief
Fund to help meet the needs of victims of the terrorist tragedies.

A solo artist and political activist, Steven Van Zandt is best known as the
guitarist for Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band and for portraying gangster
Silvio Dante in Home Box Office's acclaimed series The
Sopranos
.
