Alticast in Broomfield, Colo., has named Bill Helms as chief architect and senior vice president of technology. He comes from Time Warner Cable, where he was VP, subscriber engineering and technology.

COMEDY CENTRAL

Jim Sharp was upped to executive vice president, original programming and development, West Coast, at Comedy Central. He had been VP.

ENVIVIO

South San Francisco, Calif.-based Envivio has named Judith Coley vice president, corporate and investor communications. She comes from independent mobile video and media company Vuclip, where she was VP, marketing.

KENSHOO

Kenshoo has named Doug Chavez as its global head of marketing research and content. He comes from Universal McCann Worldwide, where he was a senior VP leading emerging media.

LIONSGATE

Television and film studio Lionsgate has tapped Mark James as director of sales, Central & Eastern Europe, based in London. He has been sales manager, CEE & Middle East, at CBS.

Also, Fabio-Etienne Tinchant was named director of sales, Greece, Turkey, Africa, Middle East, Spain and Portugal at Lionsgate. He comes from ITV Global Entertainment, where he was sales director southeast EMEA.

ORAD

Orad Hi-Tech Systems has added Robert Kakareka to its North American operations as director of sales, Southeast region. He most recently worked for Pixel Power and Miranda Technology.

Also, Scott Rogers has joined Orad as Chicago-based director of sales, central region. He has worked for Miranda Technology, Harris Broadcast, TVIPs and Sencore.

RIGNET

Houston-based RigNet has named Gerry Gutierrez as group vice president, telecommunications systems integration. He was marketing director, global major products at Honeywell.

SCTE

Dean Stoneback has joined the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers as senior director, engineering. He was senior marketing manager at Arris Group.

STARZ

David Weil has joined Starz as executive vice president, general counsel, business and legal affairs, based in Beverly Hills, Calif. He was formerly CEO of Walden Media/Bristol Bay Productions.

Also, Starz has elevated Ken Segna to vice president, original programming, from director.

SUNDANCETV

Jordan Helman advanced to Los Angeles-based vice president, development and current programming at SundanceTV. He had been a director of development in the scripted programming department.

TV LAND

Dana Tuinier has joined TV Land as vice president of development and original programming. She comes from the Fox broadcast network, where she was director, current programming.
