Nena Rodrigue was named executive vice president, original programming, acquisitions and production at BBC America. She comes from SundanceTV, where she was senior VP, programming and production.

CHARTER

Stamford, Conn.-based MSO Charter Communications has added three executives to its product and strategy team: Jason Wyrick as vice president, application development; Justin Colwell as vice president, wireless products; and Basil Badawiyeh as senior director, media products.

Also, Peter Brown was elevated to vice president, user experience design, from director.

HGTV

Brian Balthazar will rejoin HGTV as vice president, programming, based in New York. He comes from ABC daytime series The View, where he served as the program’s co-executive producer.

MUSIC CHOICE

Mic Fox has joined New York-based Music Choice as director, programming and strategy, responsible for overall programming strategy and vision for Music Choice on Demand and the company’s music channels. He comes from VEVO, where he was senior director, global digital strategy.

NBCUNIVERSAL

Tom Winiarski has joined NBCUniversal as executive vice president, advertising sales planning & monetization, a new post. He comes from Turner Broadcasting System, where he most recently was senior VP, national sales manager, TBS and TNT, Turner Cross Divisional Partnerships.

TURNER

Sandra Dewey has been elevated to president, TNT and TBS Productions, the in-house studio for the two cable networks. She will continue to lead business affairs and production for TNT, TBS, Cartoon Network, truTV and TCM, as well as for new-media and advertiser-sponsored initiatives.

Also, Sarah Aubrey was hired as executive vice president, original programming at TNT; and Brett Weitz was promoted to executive vice president, original programming at TBS.

WEATHER

The Weather Channel has promoted Brittany Smith has been promoted to senior vice president of distribution.
