Cox Communications has tapped Anthony Pope as senior vice president, Southeast region manager, based in Baton Rouge, La., and responsible for six markets in Louisiana, Florida and Georgia. He comes from Charter Communications, where he served as VP and general manager in Jackson, Tenn.

 

DISCOVERY

Nathan Brown has joined Discovery Digital Networks in San Francisco as senior vice president, development and operations. He comes from The Huffington Post, where he served as senior vice president and general manager of video.

 

DOW ELECTRONICS

Dow Electronics in Tampa, Fla., has added Ron Staelens as account manager to support and grow the 12-volt audio and video segment. He comes from Sony, where he held marketing, sales and training roles.

 

ES

Matt Gentile was named account executive, advertising sales for Entertainment Studios Networks, based in New York. He has held ad-sales positions at such networks as Ion Media Networks, BabyFirstTV and USA Networks.

 

ESPN

ESPN has added Elle Duncan as an anchor on signature news show SportsCenter. She comes from NESN in Boston, where she hosted the daily NESN Live and NESN Sports Today shows.

 

NICKELODEON

Jaime Dictenberg was upped to senior vice president, Nickelodeon Consumer Marketing, based in New York. The 15-year Nick veteran had most recently been VP, Nick Consumer Marketing.

 

FOX

Les Eisner has joined Fox Television Group as senior vice president of corporate communications. He comes from A+E Networks, where he had worked as VP, corporate communications.

 

SAM

Sid Bacho has joined SAM as chief business development and marketing officer. He has worked for Grass Valley and Harris Broadcast, among other companies.

 

SCRIPPS

Betsy Sanner Ayala has joined Scripps Networks Home Interactive Category as Knoxville, Tenn.- based vice president, programming, responsible for development and production of series and specials for HGTV, DIY and Great American Country. She comes from streaming travel network PTA Networks, where she had served as VP, programming and production.
