The Africa Channel in Los Angeles has elevated three executives: Chase Green to producer, digital content, from lead assistant editor; Lynneise Joseph to director, program strategy and distribution from director, current programming; and Katrina Pallant to director, digital media & strategy from digital media manager.

ATLANTIC BROADBAND

Gerardo Garza has joined Atlantic Broadband in Quincy, Mass., as vice president of business sales. He had been the CEO of WANRrack, a provider of private fiber wide area networks for school districts.

Condé Nast Entertainment (CNE) has tapped Bruce Perlmutter as senior vice president of production, overseeing the company’s digital video content. He is a former senior VP at cable networks Revolt and E!.

DISCOVERY

Discovery Communications has elevated Jane Latman to executive vice president, development and research of Investigation Discovery, Destination America and American Heroes Channel. She will continue in her current role as GM of Destination America.

FREEFORM

Julie Shapiro has joined Freeform as the cable network’s senior vice president, business affairs. She comes from APA Talent Agency, where she had been senior VP, head of business and legal affairs/general counsel.

LAZARD

Garrett Baker has joined investment bank Lazard Middle Market as a managing director and head of Middle Market Telecommunications, Media and Technology, based in New York. He had formerly served as president of the investment bank Waller Capital.

LOGO

Matthew Breen has joined Logo as editorial director of the cable network inspired by the LGBTQ community. He was formerly editor in chief of The Advocate and deputy editor of Out magazine.

NBCUNIVERSAL

NBCUniversal has promoted Masami Yamamoto to executive vice president, business affairs, scripted programming for NBC Entertainment & Universal Television. She had been senior VP, business affairs at NBC Entertainment.

Also, Lee Straus was upped to executive vice president, business affairs, alternative/reality and specials programming for NBC Entertainment & Universal Television Alternative Studio. Straus was senior VP, business affairs for NBC Entertainment and Universal Television Alternative Studio.

20TH CENTURY FOX

Dorothy Crompton was named vice president of format licensing at Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, based in Los Angeles. She comes from o2cm, where she was managing director and lead principal for worldwide television program sales distribution and media consulting.

SEACHANGE

Mark Tubinis has joined Acton, Mass.-based SeaChange as senior vice president, engineering & global services. He comes from Savant Systems, a home automation systems and Internet of Things provider, where he was senior VP of strategic solutions.

SPRINT

Rob Roy has joined wireless provider Sprint as chief digital officer. He comes from Comcast, where he was senior VP of digital revenue.

WILKINSON BARKER KNAUER

Law firm Wilkinson Barker and Knauer has added Lynne Montgomery as counsel. A former Federal Communications Commission staffer, Montgomery had most recently served as legal adviser to the chief of the Media Bureau.
