Digital-first entertainment company Above Average in New York has promoted Marc Lieberman to president of studio, a new post. He had been senior VP of business development and production.

EPIX
Michael Wright was named president of EPIX, the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer-owned premium pay TV network, based in Los Angeles. The former head of programming for Turner’s TBS, TNT and TCM, he had been CEO of Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Partners.

ANIMAL PLANET
Susanna Dinnage was named global president of Discovery Communciations-owned network Animal Planet. She had been chief content officer of Discovery Networks International and president of its United Kingdom/Ireland operations.

SCRIPPS
Loren Ruch was promoted to senior vice president, partnerships and projects for Scripps Networks Interactive and its six network brands. He had been senior VP, programming partnerships and special projects for HGTV, DIY Network and GAC.

CABLE ONE
Phoenix-based cable operator Cable One has named Julia M. Lawlis, its president and CEO, as chair of the company’s board of directors. Her appointment is effective upon the retirement of executive chairman Tom Might on Dec. 31.

TIVO
Enrique Rodriguez was named president and CEO of San Jose, Calif.-based TiVo. He most recently served as executive VP and chief technical officer of AT&T Entertainment Group and was an executive at Cisco Systems, Microsoft’s TV division and Sirius XM Radio.

Cary Myers has joined ESPN as senior vice president of fan and media intelligence. He comes from NBCUniversal, where he was senior VP for ad sales research and strategy. … NBCUNIVERSAL DOMESTIC TELEVISION DISTRIBUTION has named Roy Restivo as senior vice president, sales strategy and research. He had been VP, programming research and sales strategy since 2011. … NCTA: THE INTERNET & TELEVISION ASSOCIATION in Washington, D.C., has named Brian Dietz as senior vice president for strategic communications. He was VP, communications and strategy. Also, Rob Stoddard was named senior vice president, industry and association affairs. He had been senior VP, communications and public affairs.
