'Real Money With Ali Velshi' Expands To One Hour

Al Jazeera America will expand nightly business show Real Money with Ali Velshi from 30 minutes to one hour effective today, April 21.

The expanded edition of the show will focus on various economic issues throughout the upcoming election cycle, covering jobs, healthcare, housing and other business stories. The show will also track the financial progress of three middle-class American families: the Sabino family from Long Island, New York, the Williams family from the Chicago suburbs, and the Bowlin family from Noxville, Tennessee.

“We’re pleased to expand Ali’s show to one hour and also deepen the conversation about money and the middle class, an important area of concern for many Americans. Ali’s experience delivering relatable and accessible money news allows us to strengthen our coverage of important issues in the American economy,” said Kate O’Brien, President of Al Jazeera America, in a statement.
