Turner Classic Movies has partnered with fine art auction house Bonhams to create TCM Presents: There’s No Place Like Hollywood, an auction of movie collectables.
The auction, which will take place this fall, recently added to the auction block more than 30 items from the 1942 classic film Casablanca. Items include the doors from Rick’s Café Américain, the piano played by Dooley Wilson, a final draft screenplay and other forms of memorabilia. TCM, which is curating the auction, has also included items from films such as The Wizard of Oz and The Outlaw, amongst other classics.
The auction will take place at Bonhams in New York City on Monday, November 24. Preview exhibitions of the auction will take place in New York from November 20-24 and in Los Angeles from November 6-9.
