Studio: Movies Have Basic Appeal
Though basic-cable networks continue to place much marketing muscle behind original and acquired series, statistics compiled by Warner Bros. Media Research show that theatrical films remain the “successful programming constant” among basic networks. In a two-year study of theatricals that ran on 60 networks, the studio found viewers watched movies over and over again.
