Cedar Point Communications Inc. said Monday that it has raised $15 million in additional financing.
The financing was led by Focus Ventures and included participation from existing investors Ascent Venture Partners, Battery Ventures, Charles River Ventures, Comcast Interactive Capital Group, JP Morgan Partners LLC, Motorola Ventures and STAR Ventures.
The provider of integrated voice and multimedia switches for voice-over-Internet-protocol services said the financing will be used to support increased manufacturing, marketing and sales activities in conjunction with rapidly increasing demand from cable operators in the Americas for its “SAFARI C³ Multimedia Switching System,” as well as funding increasing activities in Europe and elsewhere.
“Cable-system operators in this country and abroad are accelerating the pace of voice deployments,” Cedar Point CEO Andy Paff said in a prepared statement. “This funding further expands our ability to provide the simple, cost-effective, scalable solutions that enable current and future customers to capitalize on the revenue-generating potential of cable-telephony services.”
