Start-up adult channel 2 Hearts TV, with programming aimed at women, said Tuesday that former Playboy Television executives Jim English and Richard Bencivengo are part of a “launch advisory and consulting team” that network principals Sandra Staggs and Anne Aaronson have assembled.
English, former president of Playboy Entertainment Group Inc., will advise on cable and satellite distribution and other business matters, while Bencivengo, Playboy Television’s former vice president of programming, will advise on and oversee production.
Former About.com chief operating officer Robert Harris is overseeing the network’s business plan. Eagle Productions principals Neil Pennella and Aurora Christidis and screenwriter Michael Mische are also on the team, 2 Hearts CEO Staggs said.
The pay channel hopes to launch in February.
