2008 CABLE SHOW: Fuse To Launch HD VOD Channel On Comcast

NEW ORLEANS--Cablevision-owned Fuse is launching a high definition video-on-demand channel in July on Comcast, the first affiliate to sign up for the new offering.

The Fuse HD VOD content will be available to approximately 7 million Comcast digital-cable customers and will include original series, interviews and music videos.  It also will include events and concerts from Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, The Beacon, The Chicago Theatre and the WaMu Theatre. Fuse is part of Cablevision’s Madison Square Garden unit.

In a release, Fuse executive vice president of content distribution said: “Comcast digital cable customers will now have the opportunity to watch music videos, view interviews from their favorite artists and enjoy original programming, some of which Fuse has created exclusively for this platform, all in HD.”

“Comcast is pleased to offer Fuse's HD VOD programming to our customers,” Diana Kerekes, Comcast's vice presidenr of video content, said in the release. “Fuse's high-definition content is a welcome addition to the growing number of high-definition choices that our customers can enjoy on Comcast On Demand.”
