2008 CABLE SHOW: Zodiac Tops Tru2Way Challenge

NEW ORLEANS--Zodiac Interactive has won the "Tru2way Developers' Showcase Challenge" and will exhibit its applications designed to attract Java developers to cable's initiative at the Cable Show here.

As the winner of the challenge, Zodiac, an Emmy award-winning developer of software for interactive television, has been invited by the National Cable Telecommunications Association to present at the developers' conference May 17-18, which kicks off The Cable Show '08.

Moreover, Valley Stream, N.Y.-headquartered Zodiac also has the opportunity to display its Tru2way applications in the CableNET Technology Showcase, also held during the cable show.

"We're happy to get this kind of recognition for our tru2way applications and our dedication toward this important industry standard," said Zodiac CEO Michael Rivkin in a statement. "We've been a strong OCAP champion for many years, and we're proud to see it finally gain significant traction and interest from the industry. We've always embraced its basic principle, which is the ability to easily develop powerful applications only once, and easily port them across multiple set-tops."
