more than 10 years and produced independent
feature films and various short
film projects. She volunteers for the Ghetto
Film School and mentors numerous
young people of color seeking careers in
film and television.

Maelia Macin is vice
president and general

Univision’s ownedand-
operated station
KMEX-TV and
TeleFutura station
KFTR-TV in Los Angeles.
In 2008, KMEX
became the No. 1 station and has remained
in that position for early news, late news
and primetime among adults 18 to 49, regardless
of language. Maelia has more than
20 years experience marketing to U.S. Hispanics,
including the Peabody award-winning
campaign “Ya es Hora” (“It’s Time”).
She serves on the boards of organizations
focused on women, education and business
development.

Catherine Mitchell

systems. She and
her team develop
process standards,
technology-implementation

and customer-service strategies — all designed
to sustain and strengthen Cox’s
position in the realm of customer care.
She joined Cox in 2000 as vice president
and general manager of the Roanoke, Va.,
system, after working for Scientifi c Atlanta,
Digital Equipment and IBM. She has
served in nonprofit organizations including
the United Way and Foster Parent Association
in North Florida.

Tennessee Chapter.

Paul Richardson
joined ESPN in 2007
with significant experience
in managing
human resources
operations in global
companies, most recently
as the executive
vice president
of global human resources for Universal
McCann in New York. Richardson oversees
all aspects of ESPN’s human-resources
eff orts, supporting 50 different business
units and 5,000 employees around the
world. He began his career as an attorney
before transitioning to the humanresources
field. Before that he was senior
vice president, human resources at Paramount
Pictures in Los Angeles.

legal operations for Antenna Audio and
Howstuff works.com. Earlier, Seam was an

Michelle LeCorn Strong

Michelle LeCorn
Strong oversees Eastern
region national
accounts for the entire
AETN portfolio,
including three of the
top five brands on cable:
A&E, Lifetime,
and History. She had
held the same position at Lifetime Networks.
Before that, she was senior director of national
accounts at Disney and ESPN. From 1999
to 2005, she worked in the affiliate sales
group at BET. She began her career at Comcast
Cable and completed the NAMIC Executive
Leadership Development Program.
