23M Put Up Their Dukes

Country Music Television said its Dukes of Hazzard weekend Feb. 25-27 set multiple network records and drew 23 million viewers.

According to Nielsen Media Research, CMT was the No. 1-rated basic-cable network among adults 18-49 and males 18-49 Sunday, Feb. 27 from 8 p.m.-9 p.m. (EST/PST), posting 1.24 and 1.5 ratings, respectively.

CMT Inside Fame: The Dukes of Hazzard, which aired Feb. 27 from 10 p.m.-11 p.m., earned CMT Inside Fame’s highest ratings ever. The special featured new interviews with original Dukes stars John Schneider (Bo Duke), Tom Wopat (Luke Duke), Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke), Ben Jones (Cooter Davenport) and James Best (Rosco P. Coltrane).

Riding the backs of the Dukes boys, Saturday, Feb. 26, was CMT's highest-rated and most-watched day ever among adults 18-49, the network said.

The Dukes of Hazzard is currently set in its regular Monday-Friday, 7 p.m.-8 p.m. time slot (with repeats from 11 p.m.-midnight).
