3.7M Believe Lifetime’s Lies


Lifetime Original MovieLies My Mother Told Me pulled in 3.7 million viewers Monday night, Lifetime Television said Tuesday.

The film, which starred Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck, The Patriot), joined Lifetime Original Movies Dawn Anna, Widow on the Hill and More Sex and the Single Mom as the four highest-rated movies on basic cable this year based on household rating, the network said.

Lies My Mother Told Me posted a 3.3 average Nielsen Media Research household rating, 2.9 million homes and a 2.1 among the women 18-34 demo.

The movie -- which also stars Hayden Panettiere (Racing Stripes, Normal) and Colm Feore (The Chronicles of Riddick, Chicago) -- tells the story of a con woman who, with her young daughter in tow, scams her way across the country and into a prosperous marriage before the past catches up with her and leads her to murder.
