TiVo Inc. said Wednesday that it has expanded the retail footprint for its “TiVo Series2” digital-video recorder.
More than 4,000 retail stores will offer the 40-hour DVR during the upcoming holiday season. The Series2 will retail for below $100 after TiVo’s rebate.
TiVo’s roster of national and regional retail partners now includes Target Brands Inc., Best Buy Co. Inc., Circuit City Stores Inc., Sam's Club, Costco Wholesale Corp., CompUSA, Dell Computer Corp., Tweeter Inc., Ultimate Electronics Inc., Fry's and Good Guys Inc.
“The $99 price point makes TiVo available to the masses, and a broader retail footprint will make TiVo more accessible to consumers than ever before," vice president of sales Joe Miller said in a prepared statement.
