Although the 2001 show is still more than three weeks away, 62 companies,
mostly tech firms, have committed to be exhibitors at the 2002 Western Show,
according to the California Cable Television Association.
In meeting the first deadline of Nov. 2 for next year's show, these companies
ensured that they will have the best choices of booth locations on the show
However, the CCTA said, the aforementioned date is not the final deadline,
and it will accept commitments for the meeting through January.
As is the case with the upcoming show -- set for the Anaheim Convention
Center in Anaheim, Calif., Nov. 27 through 30 -- few programmers have secured
booth space for the 2002 conclave.
On the list: NBC Cable, INSP-The Inspiration Network, Trinity Broadcasting
Network, Eternal Word Television Network and FamilyNet Inc.
Tech companies returning to the show include CommScope Inc., Liberate
Technologies, Toshiba America Information Systems and Microsoft Corp., according
to the CCTA.
