Hallmark Channel said Wednesday that it has passed the 65 million-home mark.
The network has added 9 million homes so far in 2004 and almost 35 million since its launch in August 2001.
Operators that have recently added Hallmark to their lineups include Comcast Corp., Time Warner Cable, Adelphia Communications Corp., Midcontinent Media Inc. and members of the National Cable Television Cooperative.
Markets where the network has been added include Detroit; Prince George, Va.; Bismarck, N.D.; Augusta, Ga.; and St. Augustine, Immokalee and Key West, Fla.
“This distribution growth, coupled with our record-breaking holiday ratings to date, proves that the value of our brand resonates with our distributor partners and their subscribers,” Hallmark senior vice president of network distribution and service Janice Arouh said in a prepared statement.
