ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars Halloween special and the premiere of original drama series Ravenwood scared up big audiences among key female demos Tuesday night.
The Pretty Little Liars special episode averaged 3.2 million viewers, according to network officials. The episode also drew the network’s second biggest audience among women 18-34 (1.3 million viewers) and is the second most watched series episode among adults 18-34 (1.5 million), said the network.
Pretty Little Liars spinoff series Ravenswood debuted Tuesday as ABC Family’s most watched series premiere among women 18-34 (789,000 viewers) and the network’s second biggest debut among adults 18-34 (913,000) and women 18-49 (982,000). Overall, Ravenwood drew 2.1 million viewers, the network's second most watched series premiere behind the June 2011 debut of The Nine Lives of Chloe King, which averaged 2.17 million watchers.
On the social media front, the Pretty Little Liars special drew 1.1 million tweets during its 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. run, the seventh most-tweeted series episode in TV history, according to SocialGuide. Further, the series now holds 5 of the top 7 most tweeted episodes ever.
