ACA Taps Grom as Grassroots Manager

The American Cable Association named Kellie Grom to the newly created position of grassroots manager.

Among other duties, she will keep the ACA’s 1,100 member companies informed of regulatory and legislative developments and coordinate public-policy initiatives at the local level.

Grom recently earned a master’s of science in public policy from the Senator John H. Heinz School at Carnegie Mellon University. She has also worked in the Washington, D.C., office of former Rep. Melissa Hart (R-Pa.).

“Kellie will serve as a liaison for our members, ensuring that they are not only informed of critical regulatory and legislative issues, but active participants in the process,” ACA CEO Matthew Polka said in a prepared statement. “The creation of the grassroots-manager position could not be more timely as our members are facing a growing number of important issues.”
