Acacia Research Corp.’s Acacia Media Technologies Corp. unit said Tuesday that it has reached a license agreement for its “Digital Media Transmission” technology with California operator Central Valley Cable TV LLC.
Central Valley had been one of the operators sued by Acacia in June for alleged patent infringement on the DMT technology. The deal between the two parties resolves the lawsuit, Acacia said.
Acacia’s DMT patent covers transmission and receipt of digital content via the Internet, cable, satellite and other means.
