National Labor Relations Board officials said they "anticipate a resolution"
by the end of this week of the agency’s investigation into charges of unfair
labor practices against union workers by Adelphia Communications Corp.’s
Morgantown, Va., system.
The union, the Communications Workers of America, filed a complaint alleging
that Adelphia violated federal statutes when executives talked directly with
workers, rather than the union.
Adelphia also paid higher wages to workers who crossed a picket line in May
and returned to work, according to the union.
