Coudersport, Pa.--Adelphia Communications Corp. last week
confirmed that it named Thomas Cady vice president for sales and marketing early last
month.

He replaces Jeremy Harris, who left the company for a
marketing position at Canadian MSO Rogers Cable Systems after nearly two years as
Adelphia's sales and marketing vice president. Harris is originally from Canada.

Cady was most recently vice president for marketing at
Adelphia subsidiary Adelphia Business Solutions, formerly Hyperion Telecommunications
Inc., which markets voice and data services to commercial accounts. Cady will now head
marketing efforts for all of Adelphia's consumer and commercial businesses, including
long-distance telephone, high-speed Internet access, paging, digital-cable and security
products.

An Adelphia spokesman said the company is positioned to
boost its subscriber count from 2.3 million to 5.1 million customers late last week
following the close of pending deals with other cable operators.
