SupportSoft Inc. said Adelphia Communications Corp. plans to use its
"SmartAccess," "Service Automation Suite," "HomeNet" and "KnowledgeCenter"
software products for its 900,000 cable-modem subscribers.
"We needed a proven service-automation solution that would not only allow us
to contain support costs, but to help drive customer satisfaction and
retention," said Matt Bell, director of high-speed-data strategy and product
development at the MSO, in a prepared statement.
The SupportSoft products will help potential subscribers if their computer
systems qualify for broadband connections and speed the installation process.
The Service Automation Suite is designed to help consumers to solve technical
problems quickly, while HomeNet helps consumers to set up their own home
