Motorola Broadband Communications Sector said Adelphia Communications Corp. has expanded a contract deal for its “BSR 64000” broadband-data platform.
Adelphia plans to expand its high-speed-data offerings and launch voice over Internet protocol in selected markets using the new gear.
"Motorola's BSR platform will give us the ability to expand our DOCSIS [Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification] 2.0 footprint and provide next-generation products," Adelphia chief technology officer Marwan Fawaz said in a prepared statement.
