A&E Honors Hispanic Heritage

In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, A&E Television Networks will
offer 40 hours of Latino-themed programming from Sept. 15 through Oct. 18, said
network executives.

Among the shows featured during the month are A&E Biography specials on
actors Antonio Banderas and Raquel Welch as well as The History Channel's world
premiere presentation of Hispanics and The Medal of Honor.

The networks, through its Cable in the Classroom efforts, will significant
Hispanic-oriented programming.

'Hispanic Heritage Month shines a spotlight on the contributions of Latin
culture to American life,' A&E Television Networks vice president of
educational initiatives Libby O'Connell said in a statement.

'Our combination of entertainment and information means that our viewers -
whatever their background - will find shows that interest
them.'
