A&E Networks Promotes Goit

A&E Television Networks Friday announced the promotion of longtime
network executive Whitney Goit II to senior executive vice president.

In his new role, Goit, who was executive VP of A&E Network, will be
responsible for all revenue-generating activities of A&E Networks, including
advertising sales, affiliate sales, consumer products and international.

Goit will take over network consumer products and international duties for
executive VP of new enterprises E. James Greiner, who is set to retire at the
end of the year.

"Whitney was a member of the original A&E launch team in 1984, and he has
played an important and integral role in the company’s growth," A&E Networks
president and CEO Nick Davatzes said in a prepared statement.

"Bringing together all of AETN’s revenue-generating and customer-marketing
activities under Whitney’s purview will ensure that we remain customer-focused,"
he added.
