A&E Network will roll out a trio of Helen West mystery movies based on
novels by criminal lawyer Frances Fyfield.
The first, Helen West: Deep Sleep, will bow June 8 at 9 p.m. The other
two-hour films, Shadow Play and A Clear Conscience, are slated to
air on A&E this fall.
Amanda Burton (A&E's Silent Witness) stars as London-based
solicitor and crown prosecutor Helen West.
In Deep Sleep, the West character believes there is more than meets
the eye when a woman dies of what seems to be natural causes. Despite her boss'
reservation, West and her boyfriend, London police superintendent Geoffrey
Bailey (Conor Mullen), uncover a web of abuse and murder as a trusted member of
the community is exposed.
