A&E’s Show Slate: More Reality Fare


Los Angeles -- A&E Network will continue to delve heavily into the unscripted genre in 2005 as the network is in various stages of production with a number of series, officials told pundits at the Television Critics Association press tour here Friday.

Inked, which looks at the staff and client base of the Hart & Huntington Co. in Las Vegas, and Criss Angel, centered around the illusionist, are currently in production.

Roller Girls, focusing on a group of women in Austin, Texas, who bump bodies and speed around tracks in roller-derby competitions, is in preproduction.

Senior vice president of programming Bob DeBitetto also said the service has about 20 original movies and miniseries in the works.
