A&E Television Networks has begun a cinema advertising campaign as part
of its overall marketing support behind A&E Network's upcoming primetime
An A&E spokesman said Monday that the cinema facet, featuring actor
Kenneth Branagh, encompasses 200 movie theaters in the top three major markets
-- New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.
Due April 7 and 8, the two-part, $10 million project is about the fight for
survival by British adventurer Ernest Shackleton and his crew during an
Antarctic expedition gone awry in the early 1900s.
A&E has periodically bought cinema advertising in the recent past to
promote other original primetime movies.
