A&E Will Return To 'The Glades' For A Second Campaign


A&E Network has ordered a second season of  The Glades from Fox Television Studios
The sophomore season of The Glades, starring Matt Passmore, will begin pre-production later this year on the 13 new episodes slated to premiere in 2011.

Season-to-date, The Glades has averaged 3.2 million total viewers per premiere episode, including 1.3 million adults 25 to 54 and 1.1 million adults 18 to 49, according to Nielsen data. The series has become A&E's leading program among total viewers since premiering in July, helping make A&E ad-supported cable's top network on Sunday nights.

"The Glades has garnered critical acclaim and a loyal audience in its first season," said Bob DeBitetto, president and general manager of A&E and Bio Channel in announcing the pick-up. "With superb writing and exceptional acting, led by a standout performance by Matt Passmore, we're pleased that the series has struck a chord with fans."

A&E is also currently beginning production on the new scripted drama series Breakout Kings, also scheduled to bow in 2011.
