A&E's Biography Sets Presidents Special

To mark the 15th anniversary of its signature Biography series,
A&E Network announced Tuesday that it has scheduled Best and Worst U.S.
Presidents
as a Sept. 3 Biography special.

The network did not divulge the choices, compiled by more than 300
historians, politicians and journalists.

Experts scheduled to offer their views on the special, A&E said, include
journalists Daniel Schorr, Hunter S. Thompson and Helen Thomas; political
satirist Al Franken; former Texas Gov. Ann Richards; former Nixon aide Ben
Stein; actor/history buff Richard Dreyfuss; and author Edmund Morris.

A&E did release a teaser list of 15 presidents who will be among either
the 10 best or five worst commanders-in-chief lists. Those names range from
Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and Dwight Eisenhower to Franklin D.
Roosevelt, Richard Nixon and Lyndon B. Johnson.
