A&E Television Networks has signed a multiyear deal for Simmons Market
Research Bureau's "National Consumer Study," the research firm announced
AETN is the latest network company to subscribe to Simmons'
AETN director of advertising research Mary Ryan said in a prepared statement
that Simmons' data "will allow our networks to demonstrate audience-delivery
advantages previously hidden in standard demographic profiles."
Simmons president Chris Wilson added that the company's data include
consumers' brand preferences and product-purchase behavior.
Other recent Simmons signings: Discovery Networks U.S., Fox Television, MTV
Networks and NBC, plus ad agency Foote, Cone & Belding
