Fox Broadcasting programming will be available for viewing or downloading via its affiliates’ Web sites under terms of an agreement with sister companies Fox Interactive Media and 20th Century Fox Film.
Fox, FIM, 20th and the affiliates will share transactional and advertising revenues.
The Fox On Demand platform had previously offered an ad-supported, streaming-only service, whereby series such as 24, Prison Break and Bones were streamed on MySpace and on 24 owned-and-operated MyFOX local Web sites.
Now, with functionality enabled by FIM's Direct2Drive digital retail store, visitors can purchase TV shows for PCs or portable devices.
Besides the three series mentioned above, Standoff, Vanished, Talkshow with Spike Feresten, 'Til Death, The Loop, War at Home, American Dad and The Winner will debut this weekend.
Shows will be sold at a variety of price points as individual episodes or as part of season packages, the programmer said.
